Like last year’s Max, Mark will begin its box office journey with early morning shows on December 25 and no paid premieres on the previous evening.

In only a week’s time, Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep brings his newest Christmas release to theatres. The film is Mark, his second consecutive collaboration with Vijay Kartikeyaa, who’d made last year’s hit, Max , that is yet another action-packed cop thriller. The film’s been censored U/A and although the exact run-time is not available yet, it is expected to be in the sub 2-hour-30 minute range.

Shortly after the censor formalities were completed, the team announced that Mark will be in theatres on December 25 only, with a 6 am (EMS) start. Bookings for the same will open on December 20 at 12.34 pm, announced the distributor, KRG Studios. “On the 20th, we open bookings for single-screen theatres; multiplexes should begin a day later,” said Karthik Gowda of KRG Studios, confirming that 6-6.30 am EMS will be available across single-screens and multiplexes.
A year ago, Max had the distinction of being the Kannada film with the highest footfalls, a feat that Sudeep is hopeful of replicating this time too. However, unlike 2024, when his nearest competition, UI released 5 days earlier and did not fare too well after the initial opening, this time, he’s got Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, 45, for company. Arjun’s film, stars Shivarajkumar, Upendra and Raj B Shetty in the lead and has created quite a bit of intrigue.

He and his team get pulled int the investigation of rampant kidnapping and murder of children. Mark has a personal connect to the investigation, which makes him an even more dangerous man to fiddle with.
The film boasts a massive ensemble cast, including Yogi Babu, Naveen Chandra, Guru Somasundaram, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Roshni Prakash, Vinay Gowda, Archana Kottige, Mahantesh Hiremath, Deepshika, among many others. Music is by Ajaneesh Loknath, for whom this is his third consecutive Sudeep film (after Vikrant Rona and Max).
