His last two films, Liger and The Family Star, ended as massive disasters at the box office. So, he took some time off and signed Gautam Tinnanuri's Kingdom.

Vijay Devarakonda plays a police constable in this film, which has been shot in Sri Lanka. Be it the teaser or the songs, the promos have not revealed much, and everyone is eager to know what the director has in store for us with this film. Close to ₹130 crores have been spent on this film’s budget, which is the highest so far in Vijay Devarakonda’s career. This has put the film in a bit of risk, as Vijay Devarakonda’s market is not that favorable at the moment. Kingdom needs a blockbuster start and a minimum of ₹100 crores to enter the safe zone.

One of the sources close to the unit reveals to us that the trailer showcases the bond between two brothers and Vijay Deverakonda in a beast avatar. The visuals and emotional high that the trailer will give the fans will be on another level, say the makers.

Kingdom OTT platform details

Netflix has backed the digital rights of the film for a fancy price, and the makers have already recovered half of the film’s budget, but the theatrical revenue is what they will be looking at closely.

Bhagyashree Bose plays the female lead in the film, and this is the first time she has been paired opposite Vijay Devarakonda. Vijay will be seen in different looks in this action drama. Kingdom will also release in Hindi and other South languages.
