Kishore: KGF 2 not my type of film; prefer serious cinema to mindless fare
Kishore reiterates that it is his personal opinion and choice to not watch KGF2

Actor Kishore is not much of a movie buff and heads to the movie halls quite rarely. When he does, Kishore says that he prefers watching serious cinema, rather than mindless spectacles. In a recent India Today interview, Kishore said that he is not a fan of films like the KGF saga, which revel in mass elevation and little by means of storytelling.

“I don’t know if it is right or wrong, but I haven’t watched KGF: Chapter 2. It is not my type of cinema. It is a personal choice. I would rather watch a small film that is not successful but deals with something serious rather than something that is mindless,” he was quoted in the interview. Kishore, who was last seen in Kannada in the blockbuster Kantara, in which he played a forest officer, was most recently in the news when his Twitter account was suspended.

It was initially suspected that the twitter suspension was in response to his posts, which often tend to be critical of government policies and pro farmers. However, the actor later clarified that there had been an attempt to hack his account, which he was warned about. But when he didn’t respond to the warning, the micro-blogging site took corrective action and suspended his account. The matter, he said, is currently in the process of being resolved.

The actor, who was most recently seen in the Tamil web series Pettaikaali, about the bull-chasing sport, Jallikattu, has been working on AMR Ramesh’s Veerappan web series, in which Kishore plays the slain forest brigand. He had earlier played Veerappan in the filmmaker’s Kannada/Tamil bilingual, Attahasa/Vanayudham. In another Kannada project with Hariprriya called Thayi Kastoor Gandhi, Kishore plays Mahatma Gandhi. He has a few Kannada projects lined up and is currently in Kochi, shooting for a Mammootty flick.
