India's star batter KL Rahul was spotted batting with in the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) training camp on Sunday March 15, ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Rahul, who is a part of the Delhi Capitals (DC) was sen practicing with Abhishek Nayar, who is currently the coach of KKR. Before this, Abhishek was also a part of the Indian coaching staff.

Rahul created a major buzz ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 after he was spotted training with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the franchise’s pre-season preparations. The development surprised fans and cricket experts alike, especially because Rahul is not part of the KKR squad for the upcoming season. His appearance at the camp quickly went viral on social media and sparked speculation about his role with the defending champions.
According to reports, Rahul attended the KKR training session mainly to work on his match fitness and batting rhythm ahead of the upcoming IPL season. It is not uncommon for players to train with different teams if they share good relationships with the coaching staff or players in that franchise.

While Rahul’s surprise visit dominated the headlines, KKR have also made a notable squad change ahead of IPL 2026. The franchise signed Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani as a replacement for Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman.
Mustafizur Rahman was initially part of KKR’s plans for the season, but the team had to look for an alternative after he became unavailable. As a result, the management turned to Muzarabani, who recently impressed in international cricket with his pace and ability to generate bounce.
His performances in recent international tournaments, including the T20 World Cup 2026, showcased his ability to trouble top-order batters and pick up crucial wickets. Hence, the fans are excited to watch him play for the Knight Riders. Meanwhile, KKR also face a huge blow as Harshit Rana might be ruled out of the tournament. They are yet to confirm the news and announce his replacement.
