Kotha: Susmita Dey celebrates bhaiphota with cousin and elaborate Bengali platter

Actress Susmita Dey, famous for the serial Kotha, celebrated Bhai Phota at her Kolkata house. She shared glimpses of the event on social media. She wore a pink saree and white blouse. Her elder brother was seen sitting in front of her, wearing a green kurta. A little girl was also seen in the photos.  

Sushmita told Hindustan Times Bangla, “Yes, I celebrated Bhai Phota in my house at Netaji Nagar. My elder brother, sister-in-law, and their kid came. I got a beautiful watch as a gift. We had meals together.”  

Sushmita then explained, ‘He is the son of my Masi (mother’s sister). His name is Nishant Barman and he lives in Barasat. I did not give anything to him yet. I told him to choose something and will give it later.” She smiles. Regarding the menu, Sushmita said, “The breakfast included luchi, ghugni, payes, and sweets. We will have mutton and pulao for dinner. My mother cooked everything. She is an excellent cook. Today is a holiday, hence I had fun.”  

Sushmita played the protagonist in the serial Aparajita Apu and became popular. She then worked in Panchami. Now, she is in the serial Kotha opposite Shaheb Bhattacherjee.
