First single of Kranti out soon

Challenging Star Darshan's many million fans are waiting with bated breath for the release of Kranti. The upcoming action drama sees Darshan collaborate with the Yajamana team for the second time(producers B. Suresha and Shylaja Nag and director V. Harikrishna) and is scheduled to release in five different languages, including the Kannada original, on January 26.

And as the countdown for the release of Kranti continues, the makers have decided on releasing the first single from the film's soundtrack. The single, which happens to be the theme song of the film, is titled Dharani and will be released digitally on December 10, exactly at 7 pm. To make things all the more special, Dharani song will be released amid huge fanfare at the Vijaya Tent House of Mysuru with many celebrities in attendance.

V. Harikrishna dons a dual role for Kranti and aside from directing the upcoming feature, he also serves as the music composer. Harikrishna's professional relationship with Darshan dates back many years when the latter, in the capacity of producer, launched him as a composer in the 2006 film Jothe Jotheyali (directed by Dinakar Thoogudeepa and starring Lovely Prem & Ramya). Since then, the prolific composer has been scoring music for a majority of Darshan's films before he chose to take on film direction in 2019 with Yajamana (also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Tanya Hope).

As far as Kranti is concerned, the film is touted as a bona fide action entertainer which is set against the backdrop of the education system in Karnataka. In his interviews so far, Darshan has advocated the need to improve government-aided educational and healthcare institutions and the fact that privatization is rapidly growing as a major hazard to social equality.

Rachita Ram, who made her debut alongside Darshan in the 2013 film, stars in Kranti as the female lead.
