Producer Nani and director Sailesh Kolanu are back together with the second iteration of the HIT verse, a gripping action thriller that stars Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the leads.

HIT: The Second Case is all set to release on December 2, 2022, across the country. The trailer of the film was dropped earlier today, on November 23, amid a lot of anticipation and managed to offer a proper glimpse into the chilly and forbidding world of the film. Adivi Sesh, known for his roles in films like Major, Goodachari, and Kshanam, takes over the reins from Vishwak Sen as the unconventional, brooding cop who employs his wits to unravel the mystery behind a grisly murder.

Reacting to the trailer positively, Hombale Films executive producer and co-founder of the KRG Studios, Karthik Gowda, took to social media to reveal that his enterprise would be distributing HIT: The 2nd Case in Karnataka. KRG Studios has served as one of the main go-to agencies for film distribution over the past few years with films like KGF 1, KGF 2, Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, 777 Charlie, and Kantara, among others, as part of its growing repertoire. KRG Studios also distributed the Pawan Kalyan starrer Vakeel Saab in Karnataka.

"Such an intriguing trailer. Looking forward. Karnataka Release by us @KRG_Studios," wrote Karthik Gowda.

Reportedly, Vishwak Sen was unable to reprise his role in HIT 2 owing to scheduling conflicts but has expressed the desire to be part of the future instalments, should makers plan on expanding the franchise. Sailesh Kolanu, who made his debut with HIT: The First Case, returns as the writer and director of the upcoming instalment and he is joined by his previous collaborators S. Manikandan (cinematography) and Garry B.H (editing) with MM Sree Lekha and Suresh Bobbili composing the songs and John Stewart Eduri scoring the background music. Nani produces the film along with Prashanti Tipirneni under the Wall Poster Cinema banner.
