Kriti Sanon had a few firsts in Ganapath. She makes her first attempt at an action flick in this film. With the excitement of starring in a high-octane action film comes the obligation of being stunt-ready. The performer says she was introduced to French contrast training as part of her preparation for Ganapath which began late last year.

Sanon told Mid Day that she intends to look like an action-oriented warrior in this movie. She began contrast training in French. The actor, who began working with trainer Karan Sahani for the project, describes it as a sort of strength training that helps you grow muscles.

The Mimi actor may be athletic, but the trainer had to adjust to the tough training. She explained that she completes a big set of weights and then quickly follows it up with an explosive motion. So Sanon is doing weighted squats with a barbell. When she's finished, she does six jump squats.

For her, slipping into the femme fatale role for Vikas Bahl's directorial was a thrilling experience, as she matched co-star Tiger Shroff stunt for stunt in front of the camera. Sanon hasn't participated in athletics since she was a kid. The actor wishes she had studied martial arts as a kid like Tiger did, because he picks things up faster. As adults, learning new skills becomes more difficult because the bodies are not accustomed to it. In the movie, her character employs a certain weapon. It was thrilling to go through weapon training, kickboxing, and beating up so many men on screen.

Sanon had always prioritised fitness, but she realised the significance of it when she gained 15 pounds for Mimi (2021). She had the difficult chore of losing weight without the benefit of a gym during the first lockdown after the film was completed in 2020. With the support of virtual coaches, the actor started working out at home. During the lockdown, Sanon lost all of my additional weight. She remembers feeling unfit when she was 15 kilos over her normal body weight near the end of Mimi's timetable. When one is so out of shape, they realise how important fitness is.
