We had earlier reported that actor Manikandan’s film Kudumbasthan, which saw a great reception during its theatrical release, will stream on Zee5. The release date is now out. Kudumbasthan will premiere on Zee5 on March 7.

Kudumbasthan OTT release date: When and where to watch film

Manikandan, who is known for acting in versatile roles, last starred in the 2025 Tamil film Kudumbasthan. The film released in January to positive reception and has been making waves. Now, after a month of its theatrical release, the film will make OTT premiere very soon.

Kudumbasthan will stream on Zee5 from March 7 onwards. You can use your OTTplay Premium subscription to watch the film.

The film is directed by Rajeshwar Kalisamy who penned the script and screenplay along with actor Prasanna Balachandran, who has also appeared in the film. Rajeshwar will be marking his directorial debut with the film, although he has earlier worked on skit sketches for the famous YouTube channel Nakkalites. The latter has also written the dialogues.

The cast of Kudumbasthan is led by Manikandan who is supported by Saannve Megghana, Guru Somasundaram, director R Sundarajan, Prasanna Balachandran, Kanakamma of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey fame, Jenson Diwakar and others.

The film revolves around a married man who is boggled by many issues and how he runs his errands amid his responsibilities and pressure. The film is told in a light-hearted way, making it a perfect watch for the family audience.

Ottplay review of the film reads, “Kudumbasthan feels like that one film that not only caters to audiences of all age groups but also makes you feel strongly that Tamil cinema has managed to open its account for 2025.” Many also lauded Manikandan’s performance in the film, and praised the dialogues and comedy that the film offered.
