Star-studded cast and bold storytelling

Sahir Raza's Kull features an A-list cast, including Amol Parashar, Nimrat Kaur (watch The Test Case), and Ridhi Dogra (watch The Married Woman). Bold, cinematic storytelling is what the series is known for, and it's sure to enthral viewers.

Nimrat Kaur's complex portrayal

"A storm behind still waters" is how Kaur characterises the mysterious and formidable Indrani Raisingh, calling her layered, loyal, and quietly powerful. In Kull the actor had the unique opportunity to play a strongly devoted woman whose power lies in her quiet moments of speech. As an actor, she is pleased to be a part of such an unabashedly daring drama. Watching Kull on JioHotstar is like giving a living room to daring, cinematic storytelling.

As Indrani, played by Kaur, navigates a world where trust is scarce and power is a hazardous pursuit, she is both intriguing and complicated, making her an expected highlight of the series.

Ridhi Dogra as Kavya Raisingh

Kavya Raisingh, played by Dogra, is a character whose fading legacy drags her down. She bears the burden of a fading legacy, as the actor put it in her analysis of the role. Despite her ambition and determination, she feels incredibly terrified. Her childhood experiences made the filming emotionally taxing and felt all too real at times. Her incessant need to be noticed and make a difference makes her uninterested in Kavya; yet, the story and background of rescuing something that was already doomed are quite different. Being in her presence—raw, unexpected, and immensely satisfying—while working with Kaur and Parashar was like being in the eye of a storm. Dogra is incredibly thrilled for the world to witness the positive impact this role has on him.

As Kavya faces the intricacies of family dynamics, power, and heritage, Dogra's performance will delve into the delicate equilibrium between ambition and fear.

Amol Parashar as chaotic yet charismatic

The character of Abhimanyu Raisingh, portrayed by Parashar, is characterised by charisma, inner turmoil, and disorder. His character is chaos wrapped in charm and one can't help but feel sorry for him, despite his sensitivity, anger, and entitlement. Understanding his character was akin to penetrating an onion, with each layer revealing a deeper and more unpleasant depth. It felt personal, and some scenes exhausted him. Kull delves deeply into broken relationships, avarice, and nagging guilt—that's how well-written it is. The actor admitted that he was pleasantly surprised to hear that Ekta Kapoor was involved with the production of Kull and that it will be available to watch on JioHotstar. It's daring, new, and unlike anything we've witnessed previously. Both on and off camera, Kaur has always impressed him with his strength. Seeing her breathe life into Indrani was reassuring.

As his character deals with the complex terrain of remorse, rage, and familial loyalty, Parashar's performance is sure to provide a great deal of emotional depth to the series.

Series packed with emotional complexity

Kull possesses the potential to become a summer blockbuster due to its intricate plot, exceptional acting, and captivating characters. Will the truth emerge, or will the darkness engulf all when secrets are revealed and trust is challenged? Anyone can claim the crown, and the struggle for dominance is far from over.

Starting May 2, 2025, Kull will be available exclusively on JioHotstar for streaming.
