Kunchacko Boban to play a cop in his next film; Here’s all about the crime thriller

Jithu Ashraf, who has acted in films Nayattu and Iratta, is directing this movie. He is making his directorial debut with this project. Filmmaker Shahi Kabir has penned the screenplay for the project.

Kunchacko Boban will be starring along with Priyamani in an intense crime thriller in his next film, which is not yet titled. The announcement of the project was made during an event held in Kochi today (April 27). Jithu Ashraf, who has acted in the films, Nayattu and Iratta, is directing this movie. He is making his directorial debut with this project. Filmmaker Shahi Kabir has penned the screenplay for the project.

Cast and crew of this Kunchacko Boban-starrer

Jagadish, Manoj KU, Srikanth Murali, Unni Lalu, Jaya Kurup, Vysakh Shankar, Ramzan, Vishnu G Warrier, Anunath, Leya Mamman, Aishwarya, and Amit Eapan are playing pivotal roles in the film. The film bankrolled by Martin Prakat under the banner of Martin Prakat Films and CB Chavara and Ranjith Nair under the banner of Green Room Productions.

The director of Kannur Squad, Roby Varghese Raj, is handling the camera for the film. Chaman Chacko is the cinematographer, while Jakes Bejoy is composing the soundtracks for the project.

Kunchacko Boban attended the puja ceremony in Kochi

Together with actor Ramesh Pisharody and director Ratheesh Balakrishna Poduval, the actor attended the function with his family. Listen Stephen attended the event hosted at Ernakulam's Lion Community Hall as well. In an interview with the media, Kunchacko Boban expressed his excitement about working on a movie that features emerging directors, technicians, and performers. "Those who are passionate about creating excellent films are these people. They can also produce entertaining films in any genre', he remarked.

He continued by saying that the project has its own slice-of-life moments and is not a straight-forward police drama. The actor went on, "I play a cop named Harishankar, and the film is about his emotional journey." Kunchacko Boban’s recent film was Chaver last year. The political action drama is available to stream on Sony LIV. His feel-good movie Grrr, which also has Suraj Venjaramoodu in a pivotal role, is all set to hit the big screen soon.
