Actor-influencer Kusha Kapila and her ex-husband Zorawar Ahluwalia announced divorce in 2023.

Kusha Kapila is a well-known name in the industry now. The actor-influencer is known for her quirky videos and now her on-screen presence in multiple projects. The actress announced her separation in 2023 from her former spouse, Zorawar Ahluwalia however, she has now revealed why she was reluctant to announce their divorce and why she took fast action of announcing it on social media despite her fear of going public with her split.
Kusha stated, "When I made the decision, my dad held my hand," in an interview with The Lallantop. She revealed that he was aware of her ability to make this choice. For her family, this was a private and sensitive time. The day she announced her split, she had no intention of doing so. "You can consider that we were asked to put that statement on social media because we wanted the information to go through us rather than any other person,” she said.
"We got a call from a publication saying that they have found out about the separation," she went on. "It was our private moment, it was a sacred moment for us. The publication said deny the matter or we will publish the story,” she revealed.

The Sukhee actor also revealed that having recently relocated to Mumbai, she was by herself when everything happened and she was terrified and that her parents were unaware of it.

She also revealed that she then called Zorawar and he told her that she didn't need to get scared or pressured to announce it on social media if she didn't want to. She said, “I called Zorawar. He said ‘You don’t get scared, don’t feel pressured to do this, we will do this when you want to do this.’ I was like ‘nobody else gets to announce the news for me.’ I was so scared that I could not even write it. I also felt it was important to mention our pet dog Maya. I still freeze when I talk about that moment.”
