Aamir Khan led Laal Singh Chaddha, which is the remake of Forrest Gump, is gearing up for its much-awaited release. The movie’s makers have now released a behind the scenes making video, where we are introduced to Naga Chaitanya’s character from the movie.

The making video starts with Naga Chaitanya talking about how his character’s name in the movie was finalised and we also get to see that his look in the movie was inspired from his grandfather and legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s look from the past.

We are also shown how the makers came up with the appearance of the actor and how they added his quirky physical feature. The actor will be seen wearing prosthetic teeth in Laal Singh Chaddha along with a thin mostache. “I feel on screen the moustache and mouthpiece gave me a lot of character,” Chaitanya can be heard saying in the video.

The video also shows makers filming the war scenes that take place in Kargil, where both Aamir and Chaitanya’s characters are deployed in the story. The ending of the video shows the team filming a scene featuring Chaitanya, which was not part of the 1994 original.

Directed by Advait Chandan, the Hindi remake’s adapted screenplay is penned by Atul Kulkarni. Bankrolled by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Studios, Laal Singh Chaddha follows an innocent boy who grows up into a very successful man while also being a part of some of history’s biggest moments.

Apart from Aamir in the lead and Naga Chaitanya, the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan playing the female lead. With songs composed by Pritam, the movie is scheduled to hit theatres on August 11.
