Anshuman Jha’s Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business is confirmed for Diwali 2026 release. This was confirmed with the poster that dropped. In the poster, Anshuman’s character is seen befriending a monkey for their new journey. Apart from Anshuman, the movie stars Adil Hussain, Sarah Jane Dias, Vikram Kochhar, Dan Chupong and Sunny Pang in pivotal roles. “Extinction is not an option,” is the tagline for the movie.
Lakadbaggha 2 will release in theatres along with Nitesh Tiwari’s grand visionary film, Ramayana: Part 1. The movie has already introduced Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash in the role of Raavan. It will also feature Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lord Laxman and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The movie, which promises to be VFX heavy with realistic action, is among one of the most-awaited films from Bollywood in 2026.
Through the monkey, Anshuman hopes his film feels like a cinematic prayer to Lord Hanuman. While speaking about the movie, Anushman said in a press statement, “It is a small cinematic prayer to Lord Hanuman, the art of never giving up and a humble tribute to the extraordinary animals who share this planet with us. And the project reflects his belief that humanity’s relationship with nature must be rooted in respect and responsibility. I truly believe and live by the mantra that being ordinary is a superpower.”
