It’s a big weekend on OTT and in theatres for Kannada film audiences. Both the Christmas releases, Kiccha Sudeep’s Mark and Arjun Janya’s directorial debut 45 will begin streaming, this week, while in theatres, there’s Duniya Vijay’s first release of the year. Joining him is Zaid Khan, whose sophomore film comes three years after his debut, Banaras. There’s a Kannada dubbed Tamil film too in the mix.

Watch Kiccha Sudeep's last two films, Vikrant Rona and Max with OTTplay Premium.

If you are in the mood for some sports entertainment, you can watch your favourite film stars battling it out in T20 matches this weekend at the Celebrity Cricket League Season 12 and the Kiccha Sudeep led Karnataka Bulldozers have two matches lined up. CCL2026 will return for week 2 of group stage matches on January 23, with all the action streaming on JioHotstar, via OTTplay Premium too.

Here’s a look at the Kannada original and dubbed titles heading to OTT and theatres in the week of January 19 to January 25, 2026

ON OTT

45

Music director Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, 45 , starring Shivarajkumar, Upendra and Raj B Shetty in the lead, released in theatres on December 25, 2025. The film was Arjun’s take on karma and the afterlife, a thought that struck him after he lost his brother during the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite good performances from the lead cast, the film was panned for being too preachy in nature and for its below par visual effects.

Streaming platform: Zee5 (via OTTplay Premium also)
Streaming date: January 23, 2026

Mark

Kiccha Sudeep’s second consecutive Christmas release had him collaborate yet again with Max maker Vijay Kartikeyaa. The film followed the exact same trajectory of Max, with Sudeep as a suspended cop, on a mission that is on a tight deadline. He has to find a bunch of missing kids in less than a day, while also dealing with the corrupt politician who got him suspended.

The film had a massive ensemble cast, including the likes of Naveen Chandra, Guru Somasundaram, Shine Tom Chacko, Vikranth, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Deepshikha, Pratap Narayan, Roshni Prakash, Archana Kottige, Yogi Babu, among others. But the film’s similarity to Max didn’t quite appeal to audiences this time around.

IN THEATRES

Landlord

Gentleman and Guru Shishyaru director Jadeshaa K Hampi, who also wrote the Darshan-starrer Kaatera, returns to the director’s chair with Landlord. This time, he’s got Duniya Vijay in the lead, while Raj B Shetty is the main antagonist. The film, as per the trailer, is about a ruthless landlord played by Raj, who has oppressed the people in a particular village. What happens when they finally rise up against him, led by Vijay, and fight for what’s rightfully theirs is the backdrop of the film. This, of course, has major Kaatera vibes. The film also stars Rachita Ram, Rithanya Vijay, Shishir Baikady, Achyuth Kumar, Umashree, among others.

Releasing in: Theatres
Release date: January 23, 2026

Cult

Banaras actor Zaid Khan’s second film as a leading man, Cult, unites him with Upadhyaksha maker Anil Kumar, as well as actors like Rachita Ram and Malaika Vasupal. Love is at the core of the film, exploring the leading man’s relationships with both Malaika and Rachita. The film also stars Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Rangayana Raghu, among others.

Releasing in: Theatres
Release date: January 23, 2026
