The much-awaited film Aadu 3, starring actor Jayasurya, is the big release from the Malayalam movie industry this week. There is also actor-filmmaker Dhyan Sreenivasan’s Bhishmar set for theatrical release. But both these films are likely shadowed over by the major release of the Hindi film Dhurandhar 2, which is releasing in Malayalam. The web series Kasaragod Embassy is the lone digital entry this week. The second Malayalam web series of the year, Kasaragod Embassy delves into the fake passport racket and the subsequent police probe. From showcasing the inner workings of the illegal trade to intricacies of the police probe, the series promises to be a thrilling watch. Marco actor Kabir Duhan Singh plays a mafia lord in the series, along with Sudheesh, RonyDavid, Deepak Parambol and Abu Salim, among others.

Aadu 3: One Last Ride Part 1 will see the return of Shaji Pappan along with his motley gang of buddies. Though the Midhun Manuel Thomas’ directorial will continue from the second installment's story, the upcoming film will also show happenings from a past timeline with the same set of characters. Jayasurya-led ensemble cast also includes Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Indrans, and Bijukuttan. Alleya Bourne has also joined the cast.

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh returns with Dhurandhar 2, barely four months after the first part of the spy thriller franchise took the box office by storm. The Hindi film is also getting a release in Malayalam for the Kerala audience. Considering the massive hype around the movie, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to make profits from Kerala box office too. Director Aditya Dhar’s action-packed film follows a RAW agent, who infiltrates terror networks in Pakistan.
