Aamar Boss – August 22 (ZEE5 [OTTplay])

An unusual concept—an office-based old-age crèche created by the boss' mother—envelops a modern family drama. In addition to increasing output, this novel approach promotes a friendlier and more welcoming workplace for all employees.

Bigg Boss Season 19 - August 24 (JioHotstar [OTTplay])

With a dramatic backdrop reminiscent of Parliament, the new theme "Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar" ushers in a power transition in the Bigg Boss house. Housemates will have unfettered power to make decisions of all sizes for the first time in Bigg Boss history, transforming the house into a platform for public opinion with immediate and unfiltered repercussions. In his new role as "host" in this disorganised democracy Salman Khan assumes a dominant position. This season, in true Bigg Boss style, blends suspenseful drama with a revolutionary idea that mirrors the nation's cultural climate: the erratic interplay of power, individuals, and the unpredictable.

Despite its comic tone, the film deftly conveys a thought-provoking societal message that cuts across political boundaries and speaks to everyone.

Maa – August 22 (Netflix)

The 1985 Chandarpur village practice of killing female newborns is believed to be a ritual that will release them from a curse. Currently residing in West Bengal with her husband Shuvankar and daughter, Shweta, Ambika's story continues forty years later. Although Shweta begs her parents to let her go to Chandarpur, they refuse. In the wake of his father's unexpected death, Shuvankar makes a beeline for Chandarpur, but he never makes it back; an evil force strikes him down while he's on the way. Since selling their grand mansion was Shuvankar's final desire, three months later Ambika receives a call from Joydev, the Sarpanch of Chandarpur, informing her that he has located a buyer. Ambika and Shweta travel to the village to finalise the sale, but they encounter strange ghostly activity there. After becoming friends, Shweta and Deepika go to a secluded area behind the estate; however, Deepika goes missing that very night, accompanied by an evil entity. With Joydev's help, Ambika contacts the police and learns that, for the past three months, girls have been going missing from the hamlet and then reappearing a few days later. The police think it's all an elaborate hoax and that some evildoer is abducting the girls for some reason. Since Shweta is the sole female survivor of her family, the locals caution Ambika that she is the true victim of the evil spirit.

Hardcourt goes into a tailspin, friendships break down, and Peacemaker is pursued by Rick Flag Sr, who is out for revenge, as the once-close-knit 11th Street Kids fall apart. In the midst of all the mayhem, a mysterious portal to other dimensions opens up, beckoning Chris to step into a seemingly idyllic world. However, prior to embarking on this journey, Chris must confront his past trauma, his personal identity, and his conflicting yearning for tranquilly, no matter the cost. Season 2 builds the framework for the future of the wider DCU while balancing deeper psychological storytelling with its signature foul-mouthed comedy and explosive action. It forces Peacemaker to grow up, whether he wants to or not.
