As we are about to cross the halfway mark of 2025, Tamil cinema has been middling so far, with some sporadic successes and mostly disappointments. While there are still a bunch of biggies lined up to hit theatres in the second half, a few notable titles are dropping on OTTs this week.

DD Next Level – ZEE5 (June 13)

DD Next Level is the fourth part in the horror comedy film franchise Dhilluku Dhuddu . Starring Santhanam in the lead role, the film revolves around a film critic who is invited for a screening only to get pulled into the film itself and has to save his family members before the film gets over. The cast includes Yashika Anand, Selvaraghavan, Gautham Menon, Rajendran and others.

Eleven – Aha Tamil (June 13)

Starring Naveen Chandra in the lead role, Eleven is a Tamil-Telugu crime thriller directed by Lokkesh Ajls. The film also features Reyaa Hari, Shashank, Abhirami, Dileepan, Riythvika, Aadukalam Naren and others. It revolves around a smart and honest police officer who has a good track record and is asked to solve a serial killer case.

Heart Beat S2 – JioHotstar (ongoing)

Heart Beat is a Tamil medical drama series, with the first season already having about 100 episodes. Set within a multi-specialty hospital, the series explores the personal and professional lives of the doctors, nurses and others who work there. Written and directed by Deepak Sundarrajan, the series features Anumol, Deepa Balu, Tourist Family fame Yogalakshmi, and others. Four new episodes will be dropping every week.

Alappuzha Gymkhana – SonyLIV (June 1 3)

Helmed by director Khalid Rahman, Alappuzha Gymkhana is a 2025 Malayalam sports drama film. The film will be available in Tamil as well. It features actors Naslen, Lukman Avaran seen in Operation Java Ganapathi S Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, and Shiva Hariharan, among others. The sports comedy film revolves around the protagonist and his group of friends who fail to clear their plus two examinations and have to participate at a boxing competition to get college admission through sports quota.
