Stephen – Netflix (December 5)

Stephen is a direct-to-OTT release and is one of the first from the latest Tamil content slate of Netflix. Directed by debutant Mithun Balaji and introducing Gomathi Shankar in his first leading role, Stephen is a tense, character-driven thriller exploring guilt, morality, and the blurred lines between right and wrong. The film revolves around the titular character and the serial killings that take place, and why they are happening. Actors Gomathi Shankar, Michael Thangadurai, Smruthi Venkat will be starring in the film in the main roles.

Angammal – Theatres (December 5)

Angammal is a drama film which is directed by Vipin Radhakrishnan and stars Geetha Kailasam in the lead role. Actors Saran Shakthi, Thendral Raghunathan and Bharani are also part of the film. Angammal, which had premiered at different film festivals, revolves around an old woman who is coaxed and convinced by her family members to wear a blouse during the visit of her son's lover's family.

Lockdown – Theatres (December 5)

Lockdown is a 2025 Tamil film which features Anupama Parameswaran in the lead role. The film is set against the backdrop of COVID-19 pandemic when the world went through lockdown, bringing the lives of all to standstill. Lockdown is based on a true story. It also features Charlie, Nirosha, Priya Venkat, Livingston, Indhumathi, Rajkumar, Shamji, Lollu Sabha Maran, Vinayak Raj, Vidhu, Abhirami, Ravathi, Sanjivie, Priya Ganesh, Asha and others. The film is directed by AR Jeeva.

Kuttram Purinthal – SonyLIV via OTTplay Premium (December 5)

Kuttram Purindhavan is an upcoming Tamil crime web series. It stars actors Pasupathy, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli and Vidaarth in prominent roles. The thriller's trailer is out, which shows a man desperate to save his daughter who is seen to be assaulted. The series comes from noted filmmaker RK Selvamani.

Dhoolpet Police Station – Aha Tamil via OTTplay Premium (December 5)

Dhoolpet is an upcoming Tamil web series and will consist of 50 episodes. Set against the vibrant yet intense backdrop of a bustling Chennai police station, the series delves deep into the city’s light and darkness. The show features Ashwin Kumar, Guru Lakshmanan, Padini Kumar, Shreethu, and Preethi Sharma in prominent roles. It is helmed by Jeshwini with story and screenplay penned by Brahma G. Dev.
