Seetha Payanam

Actress Aishwarya Arjun made her Telugu debut with this film, in the titular role of a young woman who was brought up by a single father. The film tracks her journey as she meets a youth on a work trip, which alters her perspective on marriage. Niranjan Sudhindra plays the other lead role in the movie, which is written and directed by actor-filmmaker Arjun Sarja.

Sumathi Sathakam

Release date: March 19

The village shopkeeper Krishna falls for Sumathi, but age-old superstitions prevent the couple from tying the knot. The local people believe that Sumathi is possessed by the local deity. Bigg Boss 7 fame Amardeep Chowdary leads the film along with Mirchi Kiran, and Saylim Chaudhari. The village drama had a forgettable run at the cinemas, and it remains to be seen if its fortunes will change for the better in the digital space.

Jatadhara

Ghost hunter Shiva comes to know of a treasure, which is guarded by the terrifying demoness Dhanapisachini. The supernatural film showcases the fierce face-off between the demoness and Shiva. Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha made her Telugu debut with this film, playing the antagonist. Sudheer Babu stars as Shiva in the film, which also features Divya Khosla Kumar and Shilpa Shirodkar.

Amaravathiki Aahvanam

Release date: March 20

Where to watch: Aha Telugu

Another supernatural film from Telugu. This lesser-known film revolves around a haunted mansion in Amaravathi. GVK has written and directed this movie, which stars Dhanya Balakrishna, Ester Noronha and Siva Kantamaneni. The horror flick had released in theatres on February 13 and is now making its way to digital space within a month.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh

Power Star Pawan Kalyan once again turns a cop for his upcoming film. The trailer promised the film would be high on action, along with romance and comedy. Sreeleela, and Raashii Khanna play the female leads in the upcoming Telugu action comedy. Notably, other major Telugu films had backed off from a March release, shying away from a clash with the Hindi film Dhurandhar 2.
