Lift: The horror movie, starring Kavin and Amritha Aiyer, to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar

Directed by Vineeth Varaprasad, a trailer for the movie will be released on Friday

Lift is a movie title that has been making the rounds in the news for some time now. The makers of the horror thriller were in dispute over the release of the movie, but the latest update about the movie is an exciting one. The movie is gearing up for a direct OTT release and will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar.

The announcement was made by the streamer on social media along with a poster featuring Bigg Boss fame Kavin and Amritha Aiyer from Bigil as they look out from a lift, which has blood splattered in it.

According to the post, the official trailer will drop tomorrow. Apart from this, the poster also reveals that the movie will start streaming on the platform from October 1.

The horror movie is written and directed by debutant Vineeth Varaprasad and is produced by Hepzi.

The movie will see both the lead actors play IT professionals. Lift has music composed by newcomer Michael Britto while Yuva, who has previously worked on Teddy and Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma as the cinematographer.

A song titled Inna Mylu from the movie,which was sung by Sivakarthikeyan was released on April 22 earlier this year and was well received. The song video has already clocked 30 million views on Youtube.
