Liger new poster: Vijay Deverakonda teaches Ananya Panday to whistle; song Akdi Pakdi to be out on THIS date

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger is one of the highly anticipated films of 2022. After a few mall glimpses and pictures, the makers are gearing up to drop the first ever track from the film. The upcoming song titled Akdi Pakdi is composed by Lijo George-Dj Chetas.

Makers have unveiled the song date release in a recent poster. The latest image sees Vijay teaching Ananya how to whistle. The duo can be seen at a party, where the hero sports a red jacket with a fur white collar, while the diva wears a cute little black dress. Along with the song's release date, the creators have also informed the audience when the promo of Akdi Pakdi drops.

Co-producer Karan Johar shared the latest image on his official Instagram handle and mentioned a few crucial details in the caption that reads, "Giving you a little gist of what’s coming your way in 50 days Let's Celebrate with some Massssss Music! AKDI PAKDI 1st song- July 11th Promo on July 8th. #Liger #LigerOnAug25th (Sic)."

Meanwhile, a few days ago, the filmmaker shared another poster of Vijay from the movie that sees the actor wearing nothing but boxing gloves and holding a bunch of roses.

Reportedly, Vijay's trainer, Kuldep Sethi trained him within 3 weeks for the semi-nude photoshoot. In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, the fitness guru unveiled that the photo shoot was done a year ago. He further said that during the time of the particular photoshoot there were some inconsistencies in the training but the actor was still well in shape, so, the director along with Vijay decided that they need a specific look in the image and he had only 3 weeks to get the actor in the required shape.

The Puri Jagannadh directorial is a bilingual film, which also stars Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishna in key roles as well as American boxer Mike Tyson in an extended cameo role.

Liger will release in theatres on August 25.
