I, Frankenstein

Although this 2014 flick is loosely based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, the story turns the character into an action hero in a supernatural war. Aaron Eckhart portrays the creature Adam, created by Dr. Frankenstein. Adam is a powerful warrior who can use special weapons.  He gets caught up in a war between gargoyles and demons. I, Frankenstein follows Adam's fight against the demons and gradually understanding his humane nature.

Predator

This is the first movie in the Predator franchise, released in 1987. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kevin Peter Hall, the movie follows a team of elite soldiers, led by Major 'Dutch' Schaefer, who are sent on a rescue mission in a Central American Jungle, only to discover they are being haunted by a technologically advanced alien hunter. Predator follows the soldiers' fight for survival and eventually getting rid of the monster.

The Wolfman

This 2010 movie has an ensemble cast, including Anthony Hopkins, Benicio del Toro, Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving and Geraldine Chaplin. The Wolfman is an official remake of the 1941 namesake movie that starred Lon Chaney Jr. The story follows American actor Lawrence Talbot as he returns to his ancestral home in the Victorian English village of Blackmoor when his brother Ben mysteriously disappears. Lawrence learns about the beast and an ancient curse that has been savagely killing villagers.

The Descent

This 2005 British movie follows a group of six women who embark on a caving expedition that soon turns into a fight for survival when they confront some flesh-eating humanoid creatures that are called 'Crawlers'. The Descent brilliantly blends psychological thrills with monstrous terror, exploring themes of trauma, guilt, and betrayal. The story begins with Sarah, who is coping with her grief after losing her husband and daughter in a car accident.

Alien vs. Predator

Starring Sanaa Lathan, Raoul Bova, Lance Henriksen, Ewen Bremner, Colin Salmon, and Tommy Flanagan, this 2004 movie follows a team of scientists who get trapped in a newly discovered pyramid under the Antarctic ice. Things turn darker when they are caught in the middle of an ancient war between two alien species, Predators and Xenomorphs, where the humans are forced to breed Xenomorphs so they can be used for sports by the predators.
