The movie aims to tell the untold story of the Indian Army's victory against the Chinese infiltration, the history that got buried.

Tango Charlie

This movie also has an ensemble cast such as Ajay Devgn, Bobby Deol, Suniel Shetty and Sanjay Dutt. Tango Charlie follows a rookie soldier on duty in various conflict zones in India. The movie mainly focuses on the infamous Kargil War between India and Pakistan in 1999. According to Sacnilk, the war drama grossed Rs 12 crore at the box office worldwide.

Deewaar: Let's Bring Our Heroes Home

Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Tanuja, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Kay Kay Menon and Amrita Rao, this movie was released in 2004. Deewar tells the story of a group of Indian soldiers who were captured during the 1971 India-Pakistan War and remained as unaccounted 'Prisoners of War' (POWs) for over three decades. The movie focuses on the soldiers' arduous efforts to escape and the rescue mission led by the son of one of the POWs.

Bhuj: The Pride of India

Starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Ammy Virk, Nora Fatehi and Sharad Kelkar, this war drama remains an underrated flick. Bhuj is set during the 1971 India-Pakistan War, depicting the efforts of the Indian Air Force and Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, and three hundred local village women, who reconstructed a damaged airstrip in just 72 hours. The movie was directly released on OTT in 2021.

Haqeeqat

This 1964 movie, which depicted the Sino-Indian War, became a cult classic. The powerful performance from veteran actors Dharmendra, Sanjay Khan, Vijay Anand, Sudhir, Balraj Sahni and Priya Rajvansh is one of the reasons for the movie's success. Beyond a typical war drama, Chetan Anand's directorial also sought to portray the impact the conflict has on ordinary soldiers.
