The Bad Guys 2 (December 1)

The sequel to the 2022 animated heist comedy was released in August, grossing $239 million at the box office worldwide, as per tracker Box Office Mojo. The Bad Guys 2 was previously released on Amazon Prime Video and ZEE5 on rent, and now will be available on JioHotstar rent-free in December. The sequel focuses on the reformed Bad Guys gang trying to stop a new female gang from coping their style in their individual heists and frame them.

Milon Hobe Koto Dine (December 1)

This Bengali soap-opera will be released on JioHotstar and start airing on Star Jalsha channel the same date at 9:30 PM from Monday to Sunday. Milon Hobe Koto Dine marks actress Solanki Roy's return to the television screen after two years of hiatus. Gourab Chatterjee will be seen opposite Solanki in the drama show. Milon Hobe Koto Dine also features Koushik Roy, Kushal Thakur and Sohini Sanyal in supporting roles.

Seher Hone Ko Hai (December 2)

This Hindi soap-opera will start airing on Colors TV channel and stream on JioHotstar from Monday to Friday at 10 PM. Seher Hone Ko Hai marks Rishita Kothari's acting debut, where she will be seen opposite Parth Samthaan. Mahhi Vij and Vaquar Shaikh will be seen portraying Rishita's parents. The story focuses on a young Muslim woman named Seher who dreams of becoming a doctor. However, her life is strictly controlled by her conservative father, who follows Islamic extremism.

Dies Irae (December 5)

Pranav Mohanlal's latest Malayalam horror-thriller is set to make its digital debut, after the theatrical run in October. The story follows a wealthy architect Rohan who's former lover Kani is found dead. After visiting Kani's house, Rohan feels a strong presence of her spirit. Now, Rohan must find out the truth of Kani's death. Dies Irae grossed Rs 82 crore at the box office worldwide, as per tracker Sacnilk.

Percy Jackson Season 2 (December 10)

The much-awaited second installment of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is returning next month. Season 2 brings back Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, Virginia Kull, Jason Mantzoukas, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Adam Copeland in the leads, along with new joinees Daniel Diemer, Tamara Smart, Andra Day, Courtney B, Vance, Aleks Paunovic, Rosemarie DeWitt, Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal and Margaret Cho in pivotal roles.

Superman (December 11)

David Corenswet has replaced Henry Cavill as Superman in this latest released movie, which grossed $616 million at the box office worldwide. The movie is set to drop on JioHotstar next month. Superman follows Clark Kent attempting to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, navigating a world that questions his values of truth and justice. The plot involves Lex Luthor, a tech billionaire, frame Superman for an international incident to remove him from power.

The End of an Era (December 12)

Taylor Swift brings another documentary, turning it into a six-episode series that promises to offer her fans the behind-the-scenes access to her Eras Tour world tour, featuring appearances from other popular musicians like Travis Kelce, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch and Gracie Abrams, along with Swift's own band, crew and family members. The End of an Era will be showcasing Taylor's preparation for her concerts and her dealing with fans interactions in different places.

Mrs Deshpande (December 19)

Icon Madhuri Dixit returns to digital space with this new Hindi series that claims to be inspired by the French drama, La Mante, starring Carole Bouquet. Mrs Deshpande is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and also stars Priyanshu Chatterjee, Siddharth Chandekar, Diksha Juneja and Arjun Pandey. The story follows how the police seek an infamous female serial killer's help to catch another serial killer who is copying her style, keep committing crimes and framing the big-shot criminal.

Naagin Season 7 (December 27)

Ekta Kapoor returns with Naagin Season 7 this December on Colors TV and JioHotstar. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will be seen as the iconic shapeshifting snake this time, after Mouni Roy, Surbhi Jyoti, Nia Sharma, Surbhi Chandna and Tejasswi Prakash. Season 7 claims to show Naagin confronting dragon-like creatures this time to save the planet. Season 7 cast also includes Namik Paul, Eisha Singh, Karan Kundrra, Alice Kaushik, Puneet Tejwani and Vivian Dsena in pivotal roles.

Pharma (not disclosed)

This Malayalam web series is a JioHotstar original that's coming this December. However, the exact release date is not disclosed yet by the platform. For the unversed, the first episode of Pharma made its world premiere at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in November 2024. Actor Nivin Pauly made his web series debut with Pharma. He plays a medical representative, navigating the pharmaceutical industry and its ethical dilemmas.
