Hello My Dear Wrong Number

This Priyadarshan film follows medical representative Venugopal, whose ordinary life is thrown into chaos after he offers a ride to a pretty but unknown woman. Soon he finds himself in danger, chased by criminals and the police. High on comedy and thrilling moments, this film has Jagathy Sreekumar as Minnal Babu, along with Maniyanpilla Raju, Lissy, Captain Raju and Sreenath.

Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu

Another Priyadarshan comedy with Mohanlal in the lead, that too from 1986. Sreenivasan plays the US-returned rich brat MA Dhavan who decides to pretend to be his driver Shambu to get to know his fiancée. Though he drops the act, the girl’s family believes that Dhavan is indeed the driver, leading to hilarious consequences. Mohanlal plays Shambu, while Jagathy Sreekumar is seen as the girl’s father. Some of the most funny scenes from the film involve Mohanlal, Jagathy and Sreenivasan.

Thalavattam

This drama film is set in a mental asylum, where Vinod gets admitted. Though doctor Savithri initially despises him, she falls for him eventually, much to the chagrin of her father who heads the centre. Mohanlal and Karthika play the lead roles in the film, which features some of the most heartening songs such as Pon Veene and Koottil Ninnum.

Kaalapani

Priyadarshan and Mohanlal delved into the Indian freedom struggle, while narrating the ordeal of those imprisoned at the cellular jails in Port Blair. This film deserved to be watched on OTTplay Premium. Mohanlal plays the lead role in the film, which also starred actors from other industries such as Prabhu, Tabu, Amrish Puri, and Annu Kapoor in key roles.

Oppam

This 2016 Priyadarshan film follows Jayaraman, who is blind, and works as a caretaker at a flat in Kochi. After Krishnamoorthy is found dead in his flat, the police suspect Jayaraman’s role. Mohanlal plays the blind Jayaraman, along with Samuthirakani, Nedumudi Venu, Meenakshi and Anusree. The film was dubbed in Telugu and titled Kanupapa.
