Shivani Nagaram on how she was almost ousted from Little Hearts

Little Hearts is one film that shocked everyone in 2025. It turned out to be the surprise hit of the year, and not many even knew such a film was releasing in the first place. Featuring Mouli and Shivani Nagaram of Ambajipeta Marriage Band fame, the comedy caper made close to ₹50 crore at the box office and ended as a smash hit in 2025.

In one of the promotional interviews, Shivani revealed an interesting story about how she was almost removed from Little Hearts. She said that she had signed the film and received the advance, but just a week before the shoot began, she fell sick with pneumonia and was hospitalized.

How Shivani nearly lost Little Hearts due to illnes?

“I was very sure that I had been replaced. I could barely walk and was not even able to stand properly. I requested my doctor to discharge me, but they refused. I came home devastated and lay on my bed, wondering why such a good opportunity slipped away at the last minute because of my health.

I kept track of when the film would start and who the two heroines were in my place. Once I knew the shoot had started, I left everything to God and focused on my recovery. Just when my health improved, I got a call from the director saying the other heroine could not continue for some reason, and asked if I was still interested. I immediately grabbed the opportunity and reported to the set the very next day,” said Shivani.

Shivani, a Telugu girl, has caught the attention of many. Her podcasts have gone viral in Telugu media, and her dignified presence at events has earned her appreciation, especially on social media.

She began her career as a singer and later became a heroine with Suhas in the Ambajipeta Marriage Band. Her role in Little Hearts and her chemistry with Mauli became major highlights. Even Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja appreciated the film.
