It was announced recently that Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, will have a theatrical release on June 3. The Kamal Haasan-starrer is currently in its post production stage. A while ago, there have been reports that the director's much-hyped Kaithi 2 will begin its shooting soon. It was also heard that he will join hands with Vijay for the second time after Master (streaming on Amazon Prime Video).

During the celebrity screening of Kuthiraivaal, Lokesh was seen talking about his plans to make a sequel to Kaithi (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) and teaming up with Vijay again.

The short video has been doing the rounds on social media and fans of Vijay are elated about the collaboration between their favourite actor and director. Lokesh said, "There are talks going on with regard to my project which has Vijay sir playing the lead. I can't say anything more in it. Let's wait for an official confirmation from the producers."

He added, "Kaithi 2 will go on floors soon. You can expect it really soon." There was news recently that Kaithi, which was released in Tamil and Telugu in 2019, will release in Russia soon.

Vijay's upcoming film, Beast, is expected to release in theatres in a month's time, and it is heard that Thalapathy 66, his next, will begin from the first week of April. Fans of the actor are excited about their matinee idol's line-up in the coming years.

Earlier, Master was launched officially with a ceremony even before his movie Bigil (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) released in theatres. For now, Vijay fans have their fingers crossed for Beast; the action flick is likely to hit the screens on April 13.
