Lokesh Kanagaraj watches Santhanam's Gulu Gulu with Rathna Kumar

The Vikram director, who watched it with the team, was all praise for the film

It looks like Lokesh Kanagaraj recently watched Santhanam's latest outing Gulu Gulu with the film's team. The film, directed by Rathna Kumar, is said to be a black comedy and has Santhanam is a never-before-seen avatar. Pictures of the Vikram director posing with the team have surfaced on the internet.

After watching Gulu Gulu, Lokesh was all praise for it and appreciated the technicians. He wrote on his social media page, "Kudos to team #GuluGulu.. Really good work by cinematographer @KVijayKartik 🙌🏻... Music @Music_Santhosh 🔥.. @iamsanthanam sir ✨ and most importantly @MrRathna.. Well done machi 👏🏻 (sic)." Rathna Kumar thanked the Vikram director and wrote, “Thank you da ❤️👍. Journey Never Ends (sic).”

Rathna Kumar had earlier directed Meyaadha Maan and Aadai. He had also penned the dialogues for the Vijay-starrer Master and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, which incidentally were both directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Rathna Kumar and Lokesh Kanagaraj are good friends and the Gulu Gulu director was earlier quoted saying they had agreed to help each other in their respective films, during a meeting at Besant Nagar beach. Rathna Kumar had also pitched in with the writing for Kaithi, another directorial of Lokesh Kanagaraj, which had Karthi in the lead and was a huge success at the box office.

Santhanam plays a travel junkie in the film, who has roots in the Amazon forest, Venezuela. He speaks 13 languages and is always ready to help others. But, one such attempt lands him in some major misadventures. His character is titled Google, as he tries solve every other problem.

The film’s star cast includes Pradeep Rawat, George Maryan, Dheena, Namita Krishnamurthy, Lollu Sabha Maran, Seshu and Athulya Chandra. Music for the film is by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Philomin Raj. It is bankrolled by Raj Narayanan under Circle Box Entertainment.
