As his first leading part, Quan stars in Love Hurts as Marvin Gable, the real estate agent, who is a vicious ex-hitman who sought to put his violent past in the past. Gable lives in Milwaukee and is very successful. Ariana DeBose portrays Rose Carlisle, Marvin's presumed deceased ex-girlfriend and lover, who sends a crimson envelope to his inbox.
