Maa Box Office collection day 2

Kajol's Maa minted Rs. 6 crore on day 2, according to a report on Sacnilk. The movie had earned Rs. 4.65 crore on its opening day and thus, Maa has minted Rs. 10.65 crore within the first two days of its release. The film needs to earn Rs. 10-15 crore at least on its first Sunday to find a break-even chance at the Box Office.

Maa budget

Kajol's movie Maa is made on a budget of approximately Rs. 55 crore. The film has little scope of earning that back in the first week but if it manages to earn even Rs. 25 crore on its first weekend, then Maa could have some chance of surviving at the Box Office. Thus, the Sunday Box Office collection for the movie becomes important.

Will Shaitaan Universe film Maa survive the Monday litmus test?

Given the current trend, Maa, which comes from the Shaitaan Universe, has little hopes of surviving the Monday litmus test. The bigger test for the movie right now is surviving till Sunday. The film is competing with Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, which has already crossed Rs. 100 crore mark and is making profits. This makes things tougher for Maa, but it is still early to write off the movie as a complete flop.

About Shaitaan 2

While Maa is now out in theatres, viewers are excited for Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan’s Shaitaan 2. It was recently reported that the makers have finalized on the script and work on the movie would commence soon. This happens after Vash 2 is scheduled for theatrical release in August.
