Maaman, the 2025 Tamil family drama, is all set to make its OTT debut this week. The Soori-starrer released in theatres in May, and had a good run. With over a month of run at the big screens, Maaman's closing numbers at the box office is Rs 43.88 crore, over Rs 6 crore short for the 50cr-mark milestone.

Maaman, starring Soori in the lead role, is written and directed by Prasanth Pandiraj. The film revolves around a family, and concentrates on the relationship between a man and his nephew. As per Sacnilk report, the film is closing at Rs 43.88 crore worldwide. The film's collection in India stands at Rs 39.68 crore. Even as the film may not be among the top grossers of this year in Tamil cinema, it stands at 10th place.

Maaman marks the first collaboration of Soori and Prasanth Pandiraj, who earlier helmed the critically acclaimed series Vilangu (available via OTTplay Premium). The film revolves around a brother and sister, and the latter conceives after a long time. The boy child thus born becomes the apple of siblings’ eyes. Maaman deals with the overtly attached relationship between the man and his nephew and how it creates problems after the uncle gets married.
