Post the success of Siddhu Jonnalagadda's DJ Tillu Sithara Entertainments released a comedy titled MAD featuring Jr NTR's brother-in-law, Narne Nithin, as one of the leads. The film was directed by Kalyan Shankar and ended as a smash hit at the box office.

Well, seeing the craze for the franchise, they announced MAD 2 on a bigger budget and promoted the film on a very aggressive note. Thanks to these promotions, MAD 2 opened to record collections and ended as a blockbuster at the box office. We at OTTplay have already revealed that Netflix has grabbed the digital rights to the film for a fancy price, and this deal landed the makers in a profit zone ahead of the film's release.

Now, we have come to know that MAD 2 will be available for streaming on Netflix from April 25, 2025. An official confirmation about the same will be announced soon. Sangeeth Shoban of Oka Chinna Family Story series fame also played one of the leads along with Ram Nithin, who had a hilarious role.

The special aspect is that MAD 2 is still playing in a select few theaters in the Telugu states. Naga Vamsi, the producer, has struck gold with this film and says that the franchise will continue with more parts being made in the years to come.

This is Narne Nithin's back-to-back hit, and he is slowly consolidating his career as an actor in Telugu cinema. Naga Vamsi made his name in the industry with his first big hit, Jersey which had Nani as the main lead. He is now making yet another film with the same director, Gowtam Tinnanuri, which has Vijay Deverakonda as the main lead.

With hits like DJ Tillu Tillu Square, Sir, and Lucky Baskhar, Sithara Entertainments has become the top production house in the Telugu film industry currently. But with MAD 2, Vamsi has seen three times the profit. With MAD being a rage on OTT, we need to see what kind of sensation MAD 2 will create. Let's wait and watch.
