This leads Shenba being torn between her parents and lover. Under difficult circumstances, Shenba chooses to leave her home to be with Mani. He promises that she will fulfill her wishes and even move to Chennai. In a few days, Mani turns up with wads of cash and a promise that they will start a new life in Korea, the place Shenba always dreamed of. With no one by her side, pain her heart, and betrayal still sinking in, Shenba exits the airport to see a magician who gives her hope for new beginnings. She even drinks away her pain when she suddenly notices a couple spat on the road. She slaps the man and asks the woman to be independent. Violating the country laws, Shenba lands up in jail, arrested by local police for slapping a man in public. However, she is soon bailed out by a local videographer and YouTuber Heo Jun-Jae who had recorded the entire couple spat and Shenba only coming for rescue. The police eventually release her, with Shenba finding her first friend in the new city in the YouTuber.
Hopeful that at least would have a job in hand if not for love, Shenba faces another blow when she comes to realise that her job offer is just a scam and that her company is not any big hotel but a mere shop in a shady area of Seoul. Dejected by another cheating, Shenba runs into Heo Jun-Jae on the street as he appears friendly and even promises to find a job. Their friendship takes a delightful turn when Shenba ends up getting hired as a caregiver to an elderly lady who is bed-ridden. But that is only on the surface, as Shenba soon realises that the grandmother is just faking her illness from her son and his wife, and in reality wants to be independent and run a restaurant.
Soon, the grandmother proposes an idea to start a restaurant to which Shenba too agrees. With a gold locket as only investment from her side, Shenba and the grandmother begin to find a spot for their restaurant. Eventually they find one, and start an eatery called Granny's Kitchen which becomes successful. Soon, a small team joins Granny's Kitchen, as Shenba wants Heo Jun-Jae's YouTube channel to pick up too. She suggests him to shoot music videos. Meanwhile, Shenba also befriends a music band and ask them to use Tamil lyrics, which will resonate with Indians who are crazy about K-Pop. The group eventually shoots a music video and Heo Jun-Jae uploads on his channel. After it goes viral, a music label approaches them with an offer, much to their excitement. For this, Shenba decides to give them her savings (that she had asked the granny to keep with). But before Shenba could leave the house with her money, she is caught by the granny's daughter-in-law who assumes that Shenba has stolen money from their house. It is at this time, the granny comes to her rescue and reveal that it is indeed Shenba's money and tell that they have been running a restaurant. A confused son is further told that she wanted to be independent and free of her son's earnings. It is at this time granny collapses and falls, much to her family and Shenba's shock.
It is at this time Shenba too comes to know through news that a landslide has occurred in her village. Worried about her parents, she flies back home only to be confronted by her mother. It is to be noted that Mani had gotten the money for them to fly through Shenba's father who had visited them and given his savings. Mani had hid this from Shenba and had escaped with the money while leaving Shenba on her flight to Seoul alone. Cut to the present, Shenba reunites with her parents, who also accept her back. Mani had been scouted by the police and is now a reformed man who wishes well for Shenba, a confident woman now. The latter thanks Mani that though his intentions were wrong, it has helped her to become confident and visit her dream land. Shenba's Korean friends too travel to India to surprise her.
Towards the end, Shenba, with her parents’ acceptance, flies back to Seoul and reopens the restaurant. However, the tragedy being the grandmother had passed away because of her illness. In an attempt to uphold the restaurant that was a dream for both of them, Shenba is now a confident woman who is pursuing her dream of being a restauranteur, while also being in Korea and upholding her father's legacy as mess owner. With friends by her side, parental support, and legacy of Granny;s Kitchen, Shenba finds peace in her life. Not to forget, that her friends' music video has become successful and life has become pleasant once again, especially for Shenba who realises that Heo Jun-Jae was the magician she first met at the airport and instilled hope for new beginnings.
