Made in Korea is part of Netflix’s Tamil content slate, and premiered on March 12 in various languages. The coming-of-age drama is headlined by Priyanka Arul Mohan in her maiden film in which she leads a drama. While the film opened to mixed reviews, both praises and disses, Made in Korea has topped the Netflix charts for the top Indian movies this weekend. The film has been receiving love from fans, as it also marks the first Indo-Korean film in India. Made in Korea is written and directed by filmmaker Ra Karthik, who earlier made Nitham Oru Vaanam. The Indo-Korean film revolves around a small-town girl Shenba from Tamil Nadu who aspires to go to Korea one day. But when she finds herself in Seoul, Shenba is only heartbroken and all by herself, as she tries to get a footing in the foreign country.

With themes such as self-discovery, resilience, and adventure, Made in Korea is a feel-good film. The film also stars Rishikanth, Jenson Dhivakar, Korean actors Park Hye‑Jin and No Ho‑jin among others. Director Ra Karthik had also recently expressed how Priyanka Mohan had pulled more than 12-hour shift to work in the film and appreciated her contributions.

What is Ra Karthik’s next film?

Ra Karthik will be next teaming up with actor Nagarjuna for an action drama. The makers are yet to officially announce, but the director had said to OTTplay that the film will be emotional and appeal to Nagarjuna fans.
