Director Ra Karthik praised Priyanka Arul Mohan for her dedication in Made in Korea, recalling her commitment during the Korea shoot as the coming-of-age drama begins streaming on Netflix.

Priyanka Arul Mohan’s latest film Made in Korea is now streaming on Netflix. The Indo-Korean drama is a straight-to-OTT film which is set against the backdrop of Korea’s Seoul and is directed by Ra Karthik. A day after the film’s premiere, the director took to social media to heap praises on Priyanka Arul Mohan and her dedication for the role.

In this week’s OTT releases, Tamil film Made in Korea is a prominent title to drop on streaming platform Netflix. Written and directed by Ra Karthik, it stars Priyanka Arul Mohan in the lead role. While the film opened to mixed reviews, Ra Karthik shared an appreciation post to the lead actor, “I’ve been receiving so many calls, voice notes, and messages about our film #Madeinkorea especially about your performance. It really makes me happy. Thank you so much nga! you’ve done such a beautiful job,” he said. The director also recalled Priyanka saying that they must succeed in making a good film and hoped that he lived up to the trust.
“During the Korea shoot, you worked continuously for more than 12 hours every day in difficult weather conditions, you adjusted to everything and kept giving your best. Your dedication, energy, and commitment meant so much to the entire team. Personally, I know how much effort and heart you put into this film. I’m really grateful. Thank you so much!!!” Karthik wrote.
The film is a coming-of-age story about a young woman Shenba who aspires to go to Korea one day. Priyanka Mohan plays the lead role as Shenba, who finds herself in the least of situations expected in Korea, but must gather courage to form an identity for herself and survive in a foreign land. The film also stars Rishikanth, Jenson Dhivakar, Korean actors Park Hye‑Jin and No Ho‑jin among others.
