Mrs. Deshpande might not have worked if not for OTT: Madhuri Dixit

When asked about Mrs. Deshpande being someone so dark, Madhuri stated, "Maybe for cinema, this would have been a little difficult because there would be a lot of convincing to do. OTT has made that possible."

Madhuri believes that OTT has opened doors for women of every age since good roles are written for them. "It's unapologetic. You're not saying sorry for being a certain way. It's very empowering to have those kind of writers write it for you." With it, the actress also believes that maybe films wouldn't help discover the talent that the films restrict.

Madhuri recalls how she did explore the scary woman in Anjaam and Gulaab Gang. She also explained that there was no using a duplicate actress because the role had to look convincing.
