Malavika Mohan is all set to make her Telugu debut with Prabhas: The Raja Saab, which is scheduled to hit the screens on January 9, 2026. Even before the release of her debut Telugu film, Malavika has already been roped in for another big Telugu project, which was announced recently.

We at OTTplay have exclusively learned that Malavika Mohanan has been signed to play the female lead in megastar Chiranjeevi‘s next film, which will be directed by Bobby Kolli. A source close to the unit revealed that Bobby recently met Malavika and narrated the story. The actress liked her character and has agreed to come on board.

The source added that the last-minute financials are being finalized, and very soon she will be officially locked for the big project. This will be Bobby’s second film with Chiranjeevi after Waltair Veerayya, which was backed by the makers of Pushpa and will be a big hit.

Chiranjeevi, even at 70, is showing no signs of slowing down. His new film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is set to release in January 2026, followed by the fantasy drama Vishwambhara. After wrapping these films, the Bobby project will go on floors post-Sankranti 2026.
