Sampradayini Suppini Suddapoosani is Shivaji’s new film, which was initially slated for its digital premiere on February 12, 2026, on ETV Win and OTTplay Premium. However, at the last minute, the makers cancelled the OTT release and decided to go for a theatrical release instead.

When is Sampradayini Suppini Suddapoosani releasing in theaters?
We at OTTplay had already revealed that the crime thriller will now hit the screens on March 6, 2026. Not many know that the Shivaji starrer was originally made for OTT, but things changed at the last minute because of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu director Anil Ravipudi.
The makers arranged a special screening for the star director, and he reportedly loved the film. After watching it, he suggested that the team halt the OTT release and opt for a theatrical outing instead.
Following overnight discussions, Sivaji, who is also the producer, decided to release the film in theatres. Even though Sivaji and Laya, who were popular in the early 2000s, do not currently have a strong individual market pull, the team went ahead with the theatrical plan.

Speaking about the decision in an interview, Shivaji said that when a director like Anil Ravipudi, who understands the pulse of the audience, expresses confidence in the film’s theatrical potential, it gives the team strong belief. He added that Ravipudi’s recent successes prove his judgment.

ETV Win has acquired the digital rights and will stream the film in the first week of April 2026 after its theatrical run. There is decent hype for this film, as Sivaji was in the news for his controversial statements about women's dress and also for his performance in his last release, Dhandoraa.
