“I recently watched a few rushes of the film and loved the way Laya’s role has been written. All these years, she played girl-next-door characters and later became a popular character artist in her second innings. But in this Shivaji starrer, she plays a housewife with a very aggressive side. Not many know about this angle of Laya, and the way director Sudheer Sriram has showcased her is one of the major selling points of the film. I was very impressed with her performance, and trust me, when the film releases, Laya will shock one and all,” said Anil Ravipudi.

Anil also revealed that he shares a long association with Shivaji and always wanted to cast him in his films, though it never materialized. Not many know that Shivaji has also produced this film, which has been sold to ETV Win for a lucrative OTT deal. Anil added that even though the film could have had a theatrical release, Shivaji chose OTT, showing his confidence in the content and its reach.

The film also features Master Rohan, who became popular with the web series #90s in a key role. Legendary comedian Ali also plays an important character.
