Mankatha is a 2011 Tamil film, now running in theatres once again. Fans of Ajith Kumar have been celebrating the re-release pretty much like the first time, from whistling to cutout anointments. Amid all this, an old clip of Mankatha team interview, in which the film’s director Venkat Prabhu shared particular feedback of Mankatha from Shalini Ajith Kumar.
When the team was talking about the song En Nanbane from Mankatha, which is a break-up song and starts with Ajith's character pushing off Trisha's father role out of the car, Venkat Prabhu chipped in, "Many ladies have said...even Shalini who said that sequence made her heart go heavy. It was shocking for all the ladies, and they think of their father."
Venkat Prabhu had watched Mankatha along with his fans on Friday. When audience asked him about plans for sequel, the director said that if Ajith Kumar gives a nod, then he is ready to make Mankatha 2. The heist action thriller, which marks Ajith’s 50th film, has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The cast includes actors Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Lakshmi Rai, Anjali, Andrea Jeremiah, Ashwin Kakumanu, Vaibhav Reddy, Premji Amaren, Mahat Raghavendra, Jayaprakash, Aravind Akash and Subbu Panchu. The re-release pre sales crossed Rs 2.20 crore surpassing Vijay’s Ghilli re-release.
Meanwhile, Ajith who is currently busy with racing, will be next working with Adhik Ravichandran, marking his second collaboration after Good Bad Ugly.
