Marco OTT release date confirmed! When and where to watch Unni Mukundan, Kabir Duhan Singh’s violent action-thriller

Marco OTT release date: Unni Mukundan and Haneef Adeni’s action-thriller is all set to begin streaming on Sony LIV almost two months after its blockbuster theatrical run began.

Malayalam blockbuster Marco is set to end its fantastic theatrical run, which began on December 20, and is gearing up for its OTT release in February 2025. The makers have finalised its streaming deal for the South versions of the Unni Mukundan-starrer with Sony LIV, which announced the OTT release date on Friday.

The movie, which is directed by Haneef Adeni, has Unni playing the titular role and Yukti Thareja, Jagadeesh, Kabir Duhan Singh, Siddique and Abhimanyu Shammi Thilakan in pivotal roles.

Marco OTT release date: When, where to watch Unni Mukundan’s film

Marco, which was rated A for its hyper-violent scenes involving children, women and animals, will begin streaming on Sony LIV from February 14 in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Tamil. All these versions will also be available with subtitles on OTTplay Premium. The makers are yet to announce the OTT platform or release date of the Hindi version.

The film has grossed over Rs 115 Cr worldwide from its theatrical run, spanning over 40 days. The Kannada version of Marco released in theatres on January 31. However, it’s the Malayalam and Hindi versions that have brought in record figures for the movie – Rs 42Cr and Rs 13Cr, from domestic markets, respectively.

Marco OTT version to have deleted scenes?

The OTT version of the film is expected to be among the most-viewed Malayalam films for SonyLIV despite the movie’s theatrical success, as the makers have promised to include the deleted sequences that failed to make the cut for being too violent. One of these included that of actor Riyaz Khan, who said he was part of scenes that depicted another phase of life of Marco that wasn’t shown in the movie.

It remains to be seen if the scenes make the OTT version. Either way, Marco will be among the most-awaited Malayalam OTT release of February 2025 .
