Kiccha Sudeep
There is no love lost between the fan groups of actors Kiccha Sudeep and Darshan Thoogudeepa. In the last two weeks, Sudeep fans have been active on social media, trolling Darshan’s film The Devil and its lacklustre box office performance after the initial opening. Naturally, Darshan fans are waiting to strike back, and that opportunity has presented itself with the upcoming release of Sudeep’s Mark, which hits theatres on December 25, 2025.

Ahead of the film’s release, Sudeep was in Hubballi for a promotional event and took the stage to declare that he is ready to face war, after stating that an army was preparing to take him on. Although he named no one, Sudeep’s comment was widely interpreted as a direct taunt at Darshan fans, a controversy that was further fuelled when the Challenging Star’s wife Vijayalakshmi said that there were people who make comments only in Darshan’s absence, and remain mum when he’s there.
Following these public comments, Sudeep addressed the media to clarify that his comments were not directed at fan groups of other actors, but rather, was a pointed remark at those set to pirate his film. The actor said that he wanted them to know that he is aware that they are just waiting for the film to drop and then record it illegally. This time, he is all set to protect his film with all his might, for which he has got a legal team onboard to ensure that the strictest action is taken against anyone who is ‘caught in the act’ – recording or downloading said content.
