Mark on OTT: Vijay Kartikeyaa’s sophomore project, which released in theatres for Christmas 2025, had Sudeep as SP Ajay Markandaya, who is in a race against time to find a bunch of missing children

Kiccha Sudeep was hell-bent on having a release for Christmas 2025, even though he did not have a film on floors until early July. To pretty much everyone’s surprise, he managed to pull it off and the film, Mark , became his second consecutive Christmas release after Max. A second collaboration with Max maker Vijay Kartikeyaa, Mark was an action film in the exact same genre as their earlier film, which did not work as much at the box office. The film had its satellite and digital partners in place, and JioHotstar, which picked up the streaming rights set January 23, 2026 for its premiere. The film is now streaming in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu, and is available via OTTplay Premium too.

Mark had Sudeep as SP Ajay Markandaya, a no-nonsense cop, who has been suspended at the behest of a crooked politician, Adikeshava (Shine Tom Chacko). The solution to quash this suspension lies in finding some incriminating evidence against Adikeshava, which is on a cell phone. Before Adikeshava’s goons or Mark can get to it, the phone goes missing, along with the child who was playing with it. The boy is one of many children who’ve been abducted and going by earlier trends, if not found quickly, they will end up dead.
