Disney+ surprised fans as showrunner Bryan Andrews preponed Marvel Zombies from the October release date to September. The decision to move up the release schedule of the upcoming animated series sparked waves of excitement among the fans, as they will now be able to stream the action series a bit earlier than expected.

When and where to watch Marvel Zombies?

Marvel Zombies is Disney Plus’ original animated miniseries that moved up its release date from October 3 to September 24, which means that the action-packed superhero series will arrive almost ten days earlier. Marvel Zombies is also expected to premiere on JioHotstar (accessible via OTTplay Premium). The miniseries will comprise of four episodes in total, and all of them will drop on the same day, thus making it a binge-worthy series in one go.

Disney’s gory series, Marvel Zombies, is created by the seasoned filmmaker Zeb Wells (co-writer of Deadpool & Wolverine) with Bryan Andrews serving as the showrunner. The plot is currently under wraps, but you can expect some blood and gory fights between the zombies and the surviving heroes as they fight to protect others and save humanity from the deadly pandemic. Since it involves zombies, the miniseries is anticipated to be packed with bone-chilling encounters with the undead creatures. Fighting the zombified army would be many fan-favourite superheroes like Florence Pugh (Thunderbolts* Yelena), Simu Liu, and Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s heroes. Elizabeth Olsen will also be seen in a pivotal role.

Showrunner Bryan Andrews shared in an interview with Collider that Marvel Zombies has a cinematic aura because it was earlier envisioned as a film but was later converted into a four-part miniseries. “It’s like a through line. It’s like, originally, we were thinking it’d be a movie, if like, ‘Ooh, we should release it as a movie.’ We should just do a movie. But there were some things that came up, certain issues that we just had to kind of, ‘Oh let’s break it. We’ll have to break it up into four episodes.’ So basically it’s like a four-episode mini-event, like a film broke up into four parts, basically. So yeah, it’s definitely… It’s one story. It’s one throughline. A lot of insanity happens,” he told the news portal.

Meanwhile, Marvel also has Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s superhero series Wonder Man in its pipeline for the year 2025. The action-adventure series is expected to release in December and might be the last Marvel venture for this year. Other fascinating shows that premiered this year includes Ironheart and Daredevil: Born Again.
