Devara is one of Jr NTR's biggest hits to date and brought Koratala Siva back into the game with a bang. The film was made in two parts, and there has been no update on when the second part will even go on floors. Some say that the film has been stalled, but not many know when it will actually resume.

Jr NTR’s sudden move leaves Devara 2 hanging

In one of the promotional events of MAD 2, Jr NTR revealed that the film had not been stalled and would go on floors soon. A year has passed, and there is still no update on the film.

But we at OTTplay have learned that Jr NTR has asked director Koratala Siva to stall the film for now and proceed with his next project.

Going into details, a source close to Jr NTR revealed to us that Koratala Siva met Jr NTR recently and narrated the complete script of the sequel.

However, Jr NTR shocked Koratala by stating that he wants to wrap up Dragon with Prashanth Neel first and then do films with Trivikram Srinivas and Tamil director Nelson. All this will take more than two years, and hence he asked Koratala to move on with his career.

Jr NTR in no mood to take Devara 2 on floors

The source also reveals that this decision by NTR upset Koratala a bit, and he is now on the lookout for a star to headline his next film. Devara was co-produced by Jr NTR, and he has already spent a lot of money on the film. So, he does not want to take any more risks or take Devara 2 onto the floors at this point.

For fans expecting Devara 2 to go on floors, it will not happen anytime soon. There is also news that the second part might not go on floors at all, as NTR has multiple big films lined up. As of now, he has pinned all his hopes on Prashanth Neel’s film, which is currently busy with its shoot.
