Malayalam filmmaker Krishand has made a reputation for himself in the industry and among cinephiles because to his streak of critically praised films. He is now preparing for Masthishka Maranam, his next movie, to be released in theatres. Meanwhile, the makers have dropped its teaser today (January 16).

The one-minute film depicts a futuristic world where the protagonist (played by Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju) plays a virtual reality memory game and ends up in pandemonium. How he gets into difficulty and the true identity of Rajisha Vijayan's character, who begs him to help her, are both unexplained. She generally wears bridal clothing and comes across as eccentric. Overall, the film's actors are dressed odd against a backdrop of virtual sci-fi imagery as the director tells an unusual tale. The makers have also confirmed that the movie will hit the big screen in February. Meanwhile, reports claim that they are eyeing for a release on February 6, along with Jayaram's Ashakal Aayiram and Sharaf U Dheen's Madhuvidhu.

In addition, Krishand is the writer and editor of A Frankenbiting of Simon's Memories, or Masthishka Maranam. In April of 2025, the creators of this film revealed the posters. Rajisha Vijayan peeks from a virtual reality headset worn by Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju in this futuristic design. The other wacky posters showcase characters played by Vishnu Agasthya, Divya Prabha, Jagadish, Suresh Krishna, Ann Saleem, and Rahul Rajagopal. Manoj Kana, Santhy Balachandran, Zhins Shan, Sreenath Babu, Anoop Mohandas, Nandu, and Jain Andrews also have supporting parts.

Along with Prayag Mukundan's cinematography, Krishand and Alvin Joseph handled the art direction aspect of the movie. Varkey has composed the soundtrack for the movie. Aavasavyuham and Purusha Pretham, two of Krishand's well-known previous films, may be seen on OTTplay Premium and Sony LIV.
