Mayasabha is one of the most awaited web series in the Telugu OTT space and has been directed by Deva Katta, the popular Tollywood director. The show is based on two legendary politicians from Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy, and will be available for streaming on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium from August 7, 2025.

All eyes on the trailer of Mayasabha
The trailer will be out soon, and ahead of the mega launch, Deva Katta made a quite interesting statement: "Mayasabha is a poor man's RRR. As I always wanted to make films like RRRR, I have put all my energies into Mayasabha. It is a monumental series and will be like RRR with star power, drama, politics, and a lot of sensitive emotions," he said.
The trailer of the series will be launched by popular hero Sai Dharam Tej, and Deva Katta states that Mayasabha is a one-of-its-kind series that everyone can connect with emotionally.
Deva Katta is known for his award-winning film Prasthanam, but since then, he has struggled to deliver a proper box office hit. As a result, he worked hard on Mayasabha, which marks his OTT debut.
A source close to the unit revealed that Mayasabha was initially planned as a feature film. However, considering the vast content, the makers felt it would be best suited for OTT.
Mayasabha is based on political giants Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy
Aadhi Pinisetty plays Nara Chandrababu Naidu, whereas young actor Chaitanya Rao portrays Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy in the show. As the series is based on controversial political figures, it also sheds light on various political events from the 1990s, featuring the legendary N. T. Rama Rao. Sai Kumar plays NTR, and his performance is reportedly going to be riveting.
