​After the Pongal releases, Ajith's Thunivu and Vijay's Varisu (on January 11), the Tamil film industry has not had any major film releases. However, February 3 is all set to break the pattern as a slew of releases are gearing up to hit screens. Check out the list here

Bommai Nayagi


Ace comedian Yogi Babu will be seen in an intense role in debutant Shan's directorial, which is bankrolled by director Pa Ranjith. The plot revolves around a father and daughter from an oppressed community, where the latter goes missing. How Yogi Babu's character goes looking for battling the caste tensions, forms the crux of the story.

Kuttra Pinnani

Saravanan, who shot to fame after playing a serial killer in the psychological thriller Ratsasan, takes the plunge as the lead actor in this crime drama, directed by NP Ismail. The plot is set in the rustic backdrop of Dindigul and revolves around a series of murders.

Michael


One of the most awaited films of Sundeep Kishan, Michael, is all set to drop this Friday. The gangster drama has Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. Sundeep Kishan has undergone a major makeover for the film and his ripped physique has become the talk of the town.

Naan Kadavul Illai


This crime thriller, directed by SA Chandrasekhar, has Samuthirakani as a cop. Ineya plays the leading lady in it. The film's cinematographer Mahesh had earlier stated that the film is a comeback of sorts for the ace director.



Run Baby Run


After a spate of comedy roles, RJ Balaji is all set to be seen in an intense avatar in Jeyn Krishna Kumar's Run Baby Run. Aishwarya Rajesh plays the leading lady in this crime thriller when RJ Balaji is framed for an incident.



ThalaiKoothal


As the title suggests, the plot of the film revolves around Thalaikoothal, the traditional practice of senicide, where older members of the family are subjected to involuntary euthanesia in southern parts of Tamil Nadu. The film, directed by Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan has Samuthirakani, Kathir and Vasundhara as part of the star cast.



The Great Indian Kitchen


The Tamil remake of the Malayalam film of the same name stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Rahul Ravindran in the lead and is helmed by director Kannan. The plot revolves around a newly wed woman who struggles to put up with the patriarchal and misogynistic notions in her husband's family.
