Mirai is HanuMan fame Teja Sajja, Manchu Manoj's latest fantasy drama that has made headlines for its OTT deal. The makers have landed a solid deal and have ended in a safe zone already.

Teja Sajja became an overnight sensation post the success of HanuMan, which was directed by Prasath Varma. Well, post the success, he did not cash in on it and signed only a few films. One of them is Mirai, a fantasy drama being made on a huge budget. Karthik Ghattamaneni, the famous cinematographer, is directing this film, which is nearing completion.

The makers released a small teaser a few months ago, and it created a decent vibe for the film. Now, as the film is set for release soon, the theatrical and OTT business is on a high. We at OTTplay have come to know that Jio Hotstar has bagged the digital rights to the film for a high price.

One of the sources close to the unit revealed to us that the makers quoted a big amount, and Netflix did not shy away and paid the amount, as they were quite confident that the film would do extremely well on OTT.

The news is also that Tips Music has bagged the music rights, and Star Network has secured the satellite rights. Manchu Manoj, who has made a comeback with Bhairavam, now streaming on OTTplay, is playing the main villain in this film. He has a solid role, and the way he was showcased in the promo gave the film a new high.

Mirai release date details

Slated to hit the screens on September 5, 2025, Mirai will have heavy-duty VFX, and the makers are spending big money on the same. Teja Sajja will once again be seen in the role of a superhero who gets special powers in this film. The makers were a bit worried about the budget, but thanks to the OTT deal, they are now in the safe zone. In the days to come, more promotional material from the film will be released.

Karthik Ghattamaneni last directed Eagle with Ravi Teja, but sadly, the film ended as a flop. We need to see how he has handled this biggie. Stay tuned for more updates.
